that is what I have to tell myself everytime I look in the mirror and I see this hideous thing staring right back.
I wish I lived in another era, country, culture - where looks, weight, fashion and the steroetype doesn't exist. And celebrities.....don't even get me started - forcing us to think we need to look a certain way.
I wish I lived in Mongolia or somewhere like that where they truly don't care.

Next time you look in the mirror, ask yourself the following:
Am I ashamed of anything I've done?
Am I a bad person?
Are my pleasures at anyone else's expense?
Do I walk on the cracks in the pavement?
If you can answer "No" to 75% of these questions then you are an okay person in most peoples book.
Beauty, image and self perception are very personal things. It is not governed by popular consensus.
Media stereotypes are hollow and vacuous and for people with those attributes. Do not worry about them.
Don't be too quick to take names to yourself. Why give the bastards ammunition?
Sorry for the lecture, but this is a aspect of English society we need to stamp out.
"Handsome is, as handsome does" I believe the old expression goes.
All the best,
