London

My trip to London yesterday was amazing! Sitting on a train for like two hours each way wasn't exactly fun but I managed to catch up with my reading (Dan Brown's 'Deception Point'). The weather was good, I wasn't late and I didn't get lost. Yay for me.

My first exhibition was the 'China Design Now' exhibition at the Victoria and Albert museum. It was sooooooo good. The artwork was great - such a good insight into culture and lifestyle. The V&A split the art into three sections - Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing - my favorite being Beijing. This was mainly because I'm such an architecture freak....I'm not architect but I love buildings - the way they look, the way they are designed, the way they function...everything. Oh my days, I am a freak. Anyways, the Beijing part was full of the amazing architecture that is being built and already exists. Such strange designs - really interesting!!

I then travelled through numerous tube stations to get to the Tate Modern for the Dada exhibition. I love Duchamp, Man Ray and Picabia!! They were such extremist artists!! Their work was soooo cool - varying in media and function. Plus you've gotta love anybody that puts a moustache on the Mona Lisa. Ha.

My trip to London - a total success.
